Tinwell is a WordPress donation plugin for UK charities, built and supported by Nebula Design. It began as ForGood and became Tinwell with version 2.0 in September 2026. The same small team writes the code, answers the support emails and writes the guides in the Ledger.
Why we built Tinwell
Tinwell came out of our work with non-profits at Nebula. Again and again we would build a charity a website we were proud of, only to see it let down at the moment that mattered most by a poorly designed donation form. And while the website’s analytics counted visits, there was nothing on the donor journey itself: who started to give, where they stopped, and who came back to give again.
Tinwell is our answer to both. It puts a donation form that is as good as the rest of the website on the charity’s own pages, and it follows the donor journey from the first step of the form to the regular gift, so the team can see what is working.

Nebula Design has built websites for charities for twelve years. Nebula Design is a trading name of Nebula IT Services Limited, a company registered in England and Wales (number 08323677), with its registered office at Building 2 Riverside Court, Chipping Sodbury, Bristol, BS37 6JX.
The people behind Tinwell
David Pottrell
David is Head of Digital at Nebula Design and has worked in the web industry for more than twelve years, mostly designing and building websites for small and medium-sized businesses and charities. What he enjoys most is problem solving, whether that means making a website faster or automating work that a team does by hand.
Taylor Molter
Taylor is the developer behind the scenes at Nebula Design, making WordPress plugins, themes and full-stack software for small and medium-sized businesses and charities across the UK, and is the key developer of the Tinwell donation plugin. If you have used one of Nebula’s sites or tools, chances are Taylor has had a hand in it somewhere.
How we write the guides
The guides in the Ledger are written for UK charities deciding how to take donations online. Where a guide quotes a provider’s prices or terms, we link to the provider’s own published pages where we can, so you can check the current figures before you rely on them. Where Tinwell is one of the options a guide compares, we say so, and we say where another option is the better choice.
