These terms apply when you buy a Tinwell licence from tinwell.org. Tinwell is a WordPress plugin made by Nebula Design, a trading name of Nebula IT Services Limited (“Nebula”, “we”, “us”), a company registered in England and Wales under company number 08323677, whose registered office is at Building 2 Riverside Court, Chipping Sodbury, Bristol, BS37 6JX. By buying a licence you agree to these terms on behalf of your organisation. If you have a question, email info@nebula.design before you buy.

1. The licence
A licence lets you use Tinwell, with updates, security patches and support, on one WordPress website for one year from the date of purchase. Each additional website needs its own licence; you can buy up to ten on one order, each with its own licence key. Your licence key is for your organisation’s own use: you may not share it, resell it or use one key on more than one website. Nebula keeps all rights in the Tinwell name, branding and licence service.
2. Price and payment
The price is shown on the pricing page and at the checkout. It excludes VAT, which is added at the rate in force. Payment is taken by card through Stripe when you buy, and your licence key is emailed to you when payment clears. We may change our prices; a change applies from your next renewal, and if your renewal price is going up we will tell you by email at least 30 days before the renewal date.
3. Renewal and cancellation
Your licence renews automatically each year on the anniversary of your purchase, and the renewal is charged to the card on file. You can cancel at any time before the renewal date by emailing us from the address the licence was bought with. The plugin keeps working until the licence expires and no further payment is taken. Apart from the money-back guarantee below, we do not refund part of a year.
4. 30-day money-back guarantee
If Tinwell is not right for your organisation, tell us within 30 days of purchase and we will refund the licence fee in full, to the original payment method. We cannot refund fees charged by Stripe or GoCardless on donations you have taken, because those providers charge them, not us.
5. What is included
An active licence includes the plugin, the updates and security patches released while it is active, and support by email from the team at Nebula on UK working days. The features included are those described on the features page and the Free vs Pro page at the time you buy. We may add, change or improve features in updates, and we will not remove a feature that is central to taking donations without giving you reasonable notice.
6. Your responsibilities
You are responsible for your website, its hosting, security and backups; for your Stripe and GoCardless accounts and for following those providers’ rules; for following HMRC’s rules when you claim Gift Aid; and for your obligations under data protection law as the controller of your donors’ personal data. Tinwell helps you record Gift Aid declarations and prepare a claim, but it does not make claims on your behalf and we cannot guarantee the outcome of a claim.
7. Onboarding by our team
If you add onboarding to your order, we will audit your website, connect and test Stripe, and configure, brand and place your donation form, within a reasonable time of your purchase and once you have given us the access we need. If the audit finds work on your website that must be done first, we will tell you and quote for it separately, and you are free to decline.
8. Availability and liability
Tinwell runs on your own website, so whether it is available depends on your hosting and on services such as Stripe, GoCardless and your CRM, which we do not control. We will make and support the plugin with reasonable skill and care. As far as the law allows, our total liability to you under these terms is limited to the licence fees you have paid us in the twelve months before the claim, and we are not liable for indirect losses or for lost donations, income or data caused by events outside our reasonable control. Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot be limited by law.
9. Ending a licence
You can end your licence at any time as described in section 3. We may end a licence if you break these terms and do not put it right within 14 days of our asking you to.
10. General
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction. If any part of these terms cannot be enforced, the rest still applies. We may update these terms; a change applies from your next renewal, and we will tell you about any significant change by email. Our privacy policy explains how we handle personal data.
